Substantial energy savings and high return on investments in building automation project
Maximum energy efficiency and a return on investments (ROI) in less than five years were crucial factors in UNo eNG Srl obtaining the contract for an energy savings project in Padova, Italy. The project has now received the “Energy-saving Solution of the Year” award in the 2018 Regin Energy Saver Awards. The award ceremony took place at Nordbygg, the biggest building exhibition in northern Europe.

The winners of the Regin Energy Saver Awards have now been presented. The award ceremony was held at Nordbygg, northern Europe's largest construction industry exhibition. This year the main prize, “The Energy-Saving Solution of the Year”, went to the Italian company Uno eNG Srl for their energy saving project at a bank.
Regin Energy Saver Award winners receive climate compensation
The Regin Energy Saver Awards will not only highlight successful energy saving projects, but also contribute to the creation of sustainable forestry in Florestal Santa Maria in the Amazon. “The awards of our contest will contribute to people’s well-being in a sustainable future and make a tangible difference. Planting new trees, conserving existing forest and getting the local population involved in the project will both support local development and affect people’s attitudes”, says Leif Brattschöld, Regin CEO and chairman of the jury.
Meet the nominees in the 2018 Regin Energy Saver Awards
Three climate awards will be distributed at the Nordbygg exhibition, held April 11th at the Stockholm International Fairs and Congress Centre. The Energy Saver Awards have received a substantial number of entries, and a total of six energy savers have been nominated for Regin’s climate awards. The nominees come from Italy, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Vietnam and Sweden.

Professor and automation expert joins Energy Saver Awards jury: Building automation with a focus on people
Kary Främling is a professor of Computing Science in both Finland and Sweden and said to be among the first to ever use the term Internet of Things in a scientific article. Presently, Kary is also a jury member in the Regin Energy Saver Awards. “To be on the Energy Saver Awards jury is completely in line with my research and my role as a professor”, says Kary Främling. “I like to keep up to date with current industry developments.”

New pre-programmed room controller with built-in CO2 sensor
The newest addition to the Regio family, the RCC-C3DOCS controller, is intended to control heating, cooling and CO2 in a zone control system. The unit can easily be integrated in control systems thanks to its built-in support for Modbus, BACnet and EXOline communication.
